Legal & Donation Policies

Please review the policies below before making a donation.

1. Organisation Information

Apostolic Voice Education Trust (AVET) is a nonprofit organisation registered in Zambia with PACRA as a Company Limited by Guarantee, Registration No. 120251033995, based in Libala South, Lusaka, Zambia. This donation platform (donate.apostolicvoiceglobal.org) is operated by AVET.

2. Refunds and Cancellations

All donations made to AVET are final and non-refundable, except in cases of demonstrable error (e.g. duplicate or incorrect charge amount). To report a payment error, please contact us at info@apostolicvoiceglobal.org within 14 days of the transaction. Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Recurring monthly donations may be cancelled or modified at any time by contacting info@apostolicvoiceglobal.org. Cancellation will take effect before the next scheduled charge, provided it is requested at least 3 business days in advance.

3. Use of Donations

Donations to the General Fund are allocated at AVET’s discretion across its four strategic pillars — Equip Minds, Heal Lives, Build Futures, and Influence Nations — based on current programme needs. Donations designated to a specific campaign will be applied to that campaign; however, if a campaign is fully funded, oversubscribed, or discontinued, AVET reserves the right to redirect the surplus to a related campaign or the General Fund, in line with the donor’s general charitable intent.

4. Tax Deductibility

Donors are responsible for determining whether their donation qualifies for a tax deduction under the laws of their own country. AVET does not provide tax advice. Please consult a qualified tax professional in your jurisdiction regarding the deductibility of your donation.

5. Payment Processing and Security

Card and mobile money payments are processed securely through our payment gateway provider. AVET does not store your full card details. Bank transfer and Western Union donations are confirmed manually by AVET staff upon receipt.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

AVET collects personal information (such as name, email, and payment confirmation details) solely to process your donation, issue receipts, and communicate with you about your gift. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Public donor recognition is always optional and requires your consent — see our Donor Recognition page for details. For our full privacy practices, please see our Privacy Policy.

7. In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations (equipment, books, and other goods) are subject to review and acceptance by AVET before being confirmed, as outlined on our Give In-Kind page. Shipping and delivery costs for international in-kind donations are the responsibility of the donor unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Governing Law

These policies are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any disputes arising from a donation made through this platform will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zambia.

9. Changes to These Policies

AVET may update these policies from time to time. Continued use of this donation platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policies.
